we are connected deeply
in camaradarie and
though you seem to rarely
sleep, much like myself,
I wish you all the rest,
and all the best in your
creative journey, should we
part ways — miles and miles
apart, though it often seems
as if you are here, and we
are laughing over a dog
dressed in a hotdog costume,
I value all of your kindness
and hope that we will be friends
for a long, long time,
long enough
for me to see that flag
standing in India — my dream,
