Hi Zachary, I’m so glad you found this article interesting and eye-opening — that was certainly part of my goal in writing it. I’m happy to see that cutting red meat from your diet has had such fantastic health benefits for you! It’s amazing how drastically food can impact your whole being. I love french onion soup, but it typically uses beef broth. I will very occasionally indulge and have some — because I’m not in any way, shape or form claiming that I am perfect. BUT, I will usually end up feeling sick afterwards. Just re-introducing that small amount of beef broth into my system causes a rebellion.
As far as the turkey burgers — do you mean that they are using real turkey meat? I don’t eat turkey meat since it’s not seafood or fish. It’s interesting that you feel like turkey burgers don’t make you feel lethargic though because turkey is actually known for making people feel lethargic. That’s why all you want to do is lay around after thanksgiving — in addition to everything else we eat on thanksgiving. If you’re looking for a great veggie burger, though, Boca makes GREAT burgers. Beyond meat is also becoming very popular. I hope that helps!
