What questions do you
beg with your hands
outstretched
angled up to receive
what you expect
is owed to you somehow
even when you demand
to be seen
to be loved
falling flat like the earth
must be for you to feel
entitled not to question
but always to take
gratitude for granted
giving nothing in return?
