But I’m Ready for You

Photo by Brooke Lark on Unsplash

You’re not ready for me, yet.
You’re not ready to hear my voice.
You don’t want to see my pain —
You only see my strength.

You’re not ready to understand me this way
Outside of your expectations
Your dreams were once my dreams
And you think you know who I should become.

You’re not ready to see my dreams
Unfolding into reality
Outstretched and expanding
Conquering space
Claiming new territory as my own.

So, even though
Your still not ready for me yet,
I’m ready for you now
With all of your doubt and Judgement.

I know who I am.
You will never hold me back again.
